Parish Nursery
When is Childcare Available?
Free childcare for children age 1 to 3 is available in the nursery in the parish hall during the 10:30 am Mass on most Sundays and when published during special events.
Children ages preschool and kindergarten should attend Faith Formation class during the during the 10:30am Mass.
Childcare Schedule and Notifications
Childcare availability follows the Children's Faith Formation Schedule. If there are no classes, then no daycare will be provided. Register with the Saint Edward Flocknote to stay up to date on nursery availability.
Who Provides the Childcare?
Our goal is to provide a safe and loving environment for children while their parents attend events at Saint Edward. Childcare is provide by parish volunteers who are required to have a background check performed and to attend a training class provided by the Archdiocese of Portland.
Can I be a Childcare Volunteer?
Yes! Volunteering to help provide daycare during church services and events is a wonderful way to support your church community and make a meaningful impact. By offering your time and care, you enable parents to fully engage in worship and church activities, knowing their children are in a safe and nurturing environment. It's a rewarding experience that enriches both the lives of the children and your own, as you contribute to the spiritual growth and well-being of your church family.
